Ohio Weather Pushes CPB to host Bonfire Bash Indoors

On March 25, 2022, the Campus Programming Board, a student organization responsible for planning and organizing exciting and engaging events to promote social life on campus, had planned to have a Bonfire Bash event in the Stuyvesant Hall Courtyard and Patio.

However, due to the chilly weather in Delaware, the event was moved to the Atrium of the Schimmel Conrades Science Center, and CPB was unable to hold the event with a bonfire. The Bonfire Bash is one of the most awaited events at Ohio Wesleyan during the spring semester.

The event featured various concert singing and dancing performances by The OWtsiders, Pitch Black, Marvella Kurniawan, Tiyin Olushola-Alao, Baylin Bell, Reality Remix and Heather Shoffner.

A concert performance by The Wonderlands Band was also enjoyed by the audience. The event featured various other attractions such as custom street signs, and students also had the opportunity to enjoy food from Dos Hermanos and Auntie Anne’s outside of the Science Center. CPB also hosted a giveaway of 200 hundred Bonfire Bash T-shirts for students at the event.

"Despite the change of venue, the competing event of Anchor Splash, and the freezing weather, the event was a success, with roughly 150 people attending Bonfire Bash. It was a lot of joy bringing this event together for the Ohio Wesleyan community,” said Aadarsha Gopala Reddy, the Vice President of Finance for Campus Programming Board.
