Finding Her Place in Greek Life

As a first-generation college student, Katie Glowacki didn’t know much about sororities when she first arrived at Ohio Wesleyan University.

By the end of her freshman year, she was feeling lost and searching for a sense of community. That’s when a friend introduced her to sorority recruitment. Nervous but hopeful, she took a chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions she’s ever made.

Now, as Panhellenic President, Katie is grateful to be surrounded by such an incredible group of women and to have found a strong support system within the Panhellenic community.

Katie’s journey to becoming Panhellenic President started when she served as the Vice President of Values and Ethics on the council last year. Working closely with the former president, she saw firsthand the impact that strong leadership could have on the Greek community.
